Surnames: Sellars, Moore
Hello,
I am searching for information about parents, grandparents, etc. of Henry Sellars. He was born about 1828 in either Vermont or Massachusetts. The majority of the censuses state Vermont. One of his children even put Scotland in a later census. He married Ellen Moore born about 1835 in Ireland. She stated that she came to the US in 1843. I first find Henry and family in 1860 as a resident of Chicago, IL. In 1867 through 1870, records show he lived in Napoleon, Henry, Ohio. In 1880, he and his family live in Toledo, OH, and he is a lumber dealer. He is listed in the City Directories in 1895. The 1900 Federal Census shows that he is living in Columbus City, Ohio. He is apparently deceased by the 1910 census. He was the father of Elizabeth (1854-?), Castillia (1855-1927), Sarah (1856-1922), Eliza (1863-?), Nellie (1865-?), Thomas Robert (1868-1934), Maggie (1870-?), Harry J. (1874-?), and William John (1876-1940) Any help will be greatly appreciated.
