Nestor Sena was my greatgrandfather, his son Luciano Sena, my grandfather married Rosana Chavez. My father, Alberto Sena grew up in Santa Rosa and now lives in Amarillo. So does his brother, my uncle Nestor Sena.

I am the niece of Emma Sena Ramos. The daughter of her brother Cornelius Sena. I am very interested in finding out more information about my family history on the paternal side of my family. I would like to find some Sena relations out there. The Sena side of my family is dying out. 6 brothers and no male children to pass on the name. very sad. I miss my aunt and my cousins. Hope to hear from some of you out there. Also, my aunt was born Manuelita Sena. I was named after her, later in her life she changed her name to Emma (it was more americanized) I prefer to keep my name and not forget my heritage. Lobato was my aunts Mother's maiden name. The Lobato's. last I heard hailed from Fruita Colorado.

Susie Anne Chavez Sena Was called to be with the Lord, Thursday, July 24, 2008. Mrs. Sena was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph R. Sena; her parents, Antonio S. and Veneranda V. Chavez; two brothers: Victor V. Chavez and wife Margaret of Albuquerque, and Anthony V. Chavez of Sedillo, NM; three sisters: Mary Lucero, Lola Sena, and Frances Gabaldon. Mrs. Sena is survived by two sons: Ralph A. Sena, and Arthur C. Sena and wife Karen. Also surviving are one sister, Virginia Chavez and husband Tobias of Jerales, NM; one brother, Ambrose V. Chavez and wife Mary Louise of Los Lunas, NM; sisters-in-law: Jane Chavez of Seattle, WA, Tommie Flores of California; brothers-in-law: Tom Lucero and Abel Gabaldon; four granddaughters, one grandson, four great-granddaughters, and five great-grandsons. She was very proud of her five great-grandsons: Isaiah, Jeremiah, Anthony, Austin, and Michael; and four great-granddaughters: Madison, Elizabeth, Jordan, and Lauren. Mrs. Sena was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, serving as a Eucharistic Minister and Lector for which she was Pastoral Advisor for over 20 years. Emma Sena Ramos of Salinas died Monday at her home. She was 78.

Born March 29, 1919, in La Puente, Mexico, Mrs. Ramos had lived in Salinas for 19 years. Before her retirement, she had worked for the J. R. Simplot Co. for 11 years.

Mrs. Ramos is survived by her husband, Hospicio "Tommy" Ramos; four daughters, Linda Segundo of Salinas, Betty Guinn of Elk Grove, Juanita Ramos of San Jose and Rose Sena of Lake Stevens, Wash.; one son, Arthur, of Salinas; 24 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.

A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. today. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the mortuary chapel. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories.

My husband's grandmother was Christina SENA (a.k.a. Maria Christina SENA), who married William ROGER in Telluride, Colorado 21 October 1932. Christina died at the age of "about 51" in Durango, Colorado on 29 October 1941, and was buried in Greenmount Cemetery. According to the death certificate, she was born in the San Luis Valley, and her father was "Tibusio" [sic] SENA. Her mother is listed as unknown, but I suspect that it was Teresa ARCHULETA, and I wonder if it was the same Tubursio SENA and Teresa ARCHULETA who lived in Conejos County Colorado in Capulin.

Any information would be helpful.

My family came to Australia in 1969. My father was Francesco Sena. He left his siblings and their families in Italy. I would like to know whether there are any Sena families from Sicily and Caltagirone or Gramichele in particular, who may have left Sicily prior to 1969.
Our family is the only Sena family (in Australia) originally from Italy as far as I know. I would like to hear from any Sena's whose origins are Italy or Sicily in particular.

I too have information re "Jose Tiburcio (de la Pena) Sena"-- I noticed that Teresa Taylor has responded and do not want to become redundant.

Please advise me of the information that you have received--I am a great granddaughter of Tiburcio from his 1st wife, (Maria Hyinia (Sapien) Gallardo.

Your husband's grandmother was one of the children from his second marriage, "Maria Teresita Archuleta".

I've been researching my husband's family tree, which has origins in Scotland and Colorado. His grandfather (William ROGER) emigrated from Scotland and was married at least two (maybe three) times. The last marriage was to Maria Christina SENA a.k.a. Christina Sena, and took place in Telluride, Colorado on 21 October 1932 when he was 66 and she was 41. They then had three boys, Donald, Angus, and Norman (my husband's father).

According to the Colorado death certificate that I have, Maria Christina SENA was born in the San Luis Valley of Colorado in approximately February 1891, to Tibursio SENA and Teresa ARCHULETA. Christina may well have been married prior to her marriage to William ROGER, perhaps to a MARTINEZ.

Christina SENA passed away 29 October 1941 in Durango, about 10 months after her husband, William ROGER. I'd be greatly interested to know if the picture that you have purchased is of my husband's grandmother, Christina, and if there are any other individuals in the photo. Please reply.

I bought an old photo from an antique shop. On the back is the name of "Christina Sena". It appears to be from the late 1800s. Also, the photographer stamp is in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Maria Domitelia (Tillie) Sena, age 76, passed away on May 11, 2007, at the Manor Care Nursing Home in Reno Nevada.
Tillie was born, May 31, 1930, in Cuervo, NM to the home of Luis G. Duran and Petra (Lopez) Duran. She married Antonio P. Sena in Galisteo, NM in 1951.

Tillie worked in Santa Fe, taught school in Pena Blanca & Cochiti for twenty-nine years. She loved rodeos, extreme bull riding, fishing, reading, and cross word puzzles. She moved back to Santa Rosa in 1992. She moved to Winnemucca, NV after the death of her husband in 2001.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Antonio P. Sena, a son Mario Sena, brothers; Eloy Duran, Vivian Duran and sister Valeria Martinez.

Survivors include her son; Antonio Sena & wife Elaine of Winnemucca, NV. Brothers; Juan Duran & wife Pauline of Albuquerque and Robert Duran of Albuquerque. Sister Florence Cox & husband Ed of Tulsa OK. Three grandchildren, Catherine, John Sena & wife Nancy, Jessica Sells & Husband Mark and three great-grandchildren, Ryan Nelson, Josette Angelina Sells and Ambrosia Camou. Plus many god children, nieces and Nephews, whom she loved dearly.

I am a descendant of that line. Jose Luciano Sena was my Great Great Grandfather. I have just recently begun my search and would love to receive any information anyone may have on Jose Luciano. Also would like to hear about Tiburcio as i have heard the name before...it's been a long time.

Sena's of N.M. Manuel and Serafina

Hi, I am so excited that there is a page for The Sena Family History.

My Grandparents were Manuel R. and Serafina Sena (her maiden name Duran). My Grandpa Manuel passed away about 11 years ago i believe. My Grandmother is still alive and probably will out live us all. She was very strong in the Catholic Church and belonged to "The Third Order" ? that is all i know about that organization. My grandfather worked at the Feed yards "El Rancho" in Clovis, New Mexico. Their children are Jose, Elijio, Cecilio, Amelia, and Theresa. (all of which are still living) My father is Cecilio (Cecil)married to Lucy Sena.

I would like to know more of my family's history. I will post any history that i find in my search.

Amos, and Arthur also of which are still living. I have not had contact with my uncle Arthur in years. Would like to hear from him.

His parents were Miguel Sena & Maria-Francisca Marquez.
Both were born in New Mexico.

Jose-Gabriel Sena married in1880 to,
Maria-Aniceta Herrera. They were married at San Miguel Del Vado Church, NM.

In the 1900 Census Jose-Gabriel Sena and his wife,
Maria-Aniceta Herrera are listed with their children:
1) Francisca Sena
2) Amado Sena
3) Donaciano Sena
4) Santiago Sena

Jose-Gabriel Sena's wife, MARIA-ANICETA HERRERA had a sister named MARIA-CANDELARIA HERRERA.

MARIA-CANDELARIA HERRERA was born 1867. In the year 1882 she married MARTIN VIGIL. They were married at
San Miguel Del Vado, NM.

In 1885 MARIA-CANDELARIA HERRERA and her husband,
Martin Vigil had a son named FELIPE VIGIL.

In the 1930 Census of San Miguel County, Union, NM
FELIPE VIGIL is listed as married to,
MARIA-PETRA MONTOYA.

who served in the US Army during WWII?
If you do, and any are still living -- do they recall a
LOUIS B. BACA from San Miguel County, NM who was also in the US Army? He was killed in 1944 at the Battle of the Bulge.

related to LOUIS B. BACA?
LOUIS B. BACA was from the San Miguel County, NM.
He served in WWII in the US Army. In 1944 he was killed
in-action at the Battle of the Bulge.
I am trying to find Names of his Siblings, and uncles.
