Cajun French Seneca's

I am told by my relatives that my ancestors came to Louisiana and settled the Plaquemine area. They were originaly from Novia Scotia, Canada, and of the Acadian heritage. The last name of my family was actually Senetair (not sure of exact spelling). When they went through the immigration office to register as US citizens and the people with immigration could not spell the name. Not being able to speak the language of the acadians, they wrote down what they thought sounded the most like it to them. I am wondering if there are any other cajuns out there with the name Seneca. All of the messages posted here says that Seneca is an Italian name, and my family is undeniably cajun french.
