Margaret and Horatio were my great-grandparents. Margaret was born 1837 at London Creek, SC, near Gaffney. Her parents were James Service(d. ca. 1846) and Margaret Jane Wilson (1795-1875). They were from Ballyeaston, Co. Antrim, Ireland. The family is Scotch-Irish. James and Margaret had three sons: John, Thomas, and James, and three daughters: Eliza, Mary Ellen, and Margaret. I have some dates and spouses. James' brother Robert Service and wife Mary lived nearby in London Creek, SC. Would like to know European background of family and arrival in U.S.A.
