I have found my 3x Great Grandfather Thomas Sesaman in the 1830 census. His name is spelled identically as in the bible, but the spelling of his children have changed throughout the next 2 generations from Sesaman, to Sessaman and Sessamen. The 1830 census shows he was living in Annille or Annville Twp, Lebanon County,Pa. The bible shows that Thomas born 10/13/1805 was married to Susan Ream born 7/17/1807. They had the following children William H. born 8/15/1826, Margaret born 3/7/1828, John born 1/11/1830, George born 9/9/1832, Mary born 1/7/1834, Catherine born 4/30/1836, Ann born 4/17/1838, Elizabeth born 8/14/1841, Rebecca born 7/12/1843, Caroline born 9/21/1844, Cornelius born 1/12/1848. I am told by family that Thomas Sesaman wasa boatsman by trade, and lost his life in a boating accident in the canal or channels near Harrisburg Pa.
My Great-Great Grandfather William H. Sesaman (Sessamen) moved to Tyrone Pa about 1850 marrying Julia Ann or Julian Stonebraker, daughter of Abraham Stonebraker.
If you would have any leads to Thomas Sesaman married to Susan Ream from the Pa area, I would appreciate hearing from you.
