My grandmother was born in Colima, MX and was the second oldest daughter of Francisco Sevilla. She said that her father's children, both legitimate and illegitimate numbered about 30, conservatively speaking. She spent most of her young life dragging him out of cantinas and probably had the best idea of all the kids of what he got up to-which was a lot!

I am the daughter of Guadalupe and Amado Sevilla 9/12/1927. My dad is the son of Maria Fregoso. I would love to know some more history on my dad side of the family. My dad is a cancer survior and has just celebrated his 81st birthday. Please write me. I was born there in Juchitlan in 1964 and then we came to CA in 1967.

my grandmother josefina sevilla was living in santa ana,ca. before she passed on. my grandfather's name was elias sevilla and he was from spain. my father's name was charles sevilla and i am also named charles lee sevilla, lee being elias in spanish. i was born in santa ana in 1945 with a twin named john manuel sevilla. my dad's sister was named rebecca and another sister is named christina. he also had like 9 brothers. hoped this helped you. charlie sevilla.

Juana Cobian Sevilla died in Hayward, Calif., on Sept. 30, 2006.

She was a native of Arrneria,Colima, Mexico, and passed away at 98 years of age. She was the loving wife of the late Jesus J. Sevilla and loving mother of Edward R.(Agnes) Sevilla, Bishop Carlos A. Sevilla, SJ, Bishop of Yakima, Elena S. (Kirk) Kasberg and Mary Fisher.

She was the dear grandmother of 10, great-grandmother of 12 and great-great grandmother of three, dear sister of Salvador Cobian, Guadalupe Cobian and the late Amalia Cobian, Ignacia Barragan, Ignaclo Cobian and Jose Cobian.

All of Juana's loving family and relatives pray that God grant her eternal rest.

Family and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 3 p.m. at St. Ignatius Church, in San Francisco, Calif. Prayer services prior to committal in Holy Cross Cemetery will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are preferred to be given to the Jesuit Seminary Association, P.O. Box 68, Los Gatos, CA 95031; Yakima Seminary Fund, 5301A Tieton Dr. Yakima, WA 98905; Alzheimers Service, 2320 Channing Way Berkeley, CA 94704 or donor's favorite charity.

Now that I gave it some more thought. Your grandmother was Rojas & your grandfather Sevilla. Do you have anyone you can ask; I believe your grandfather had a sister named Goya Sevilla. If this is true I have a cousin who is married to one of Goyas daughters.

Well my mom is the person that knew both of them. Let me know what you would like to know about them & I will ask her then get back to you. She told me she knows your moms sister: Angela. Also one of your sisters who is in Juchitlan, I don't remember her name right now but Guadalupe kind of rings a bell.

I was half raised in Juchitlan, I know that my father and his family were raised there. I just want to find pmy ancestors. My fathers mother recently died in June, Her nam,e was Guadalupe Rojas, and her husband, been deceased for more than 45 yrs. his name was Juan ROjas, If anybody knew them please contact me! My name is Juan Sevilla Rosas and I'm the second of four sons of Oscar Armando Sevilla Martínez and Bertha Rosas Alavedra(My brother Oscar, me, my sisters Bertha and Ana María - the last already dead in 1973). My father had an older brother Alfredo, who died in Lima when I was a child. My father died in 1975. We all were born in Lima, Perú. My father was born in Barranco, a district in the southern part of Lima, Perú around 1904. He was in the military(Lieutenient Colonel in the Peruvian Army, he participated in the war against Colombia in 1939 and studied in France and Germany where he had a son, Carlos, who died in Berlin because of a lost bullet during the Second World War). My brother Oscar retired from the Peruvian Air Force also as a Colonel and I retired from the Peruvian Navy as Capitán de Fragata, studying in Monterey, USA, for almost 3 years.
While in the Navy I met Fernando Sevilla La Rosa(blond hair) and Pedro Sevilla Aspíllaga who got the high rank of Admiral. I also know there have been other Sevilla's in the Peruvian Army and even in the Police.
Anyone who knows about my great grand father please let me know.

I have heard that story all through my childhood. My great grandfather is Francisco Sevilla. I guess he also had a daughter that stayed in Guadalajara, Mexico. Her name was Jesus Sevilla (my grandmother). She had 12 brothers sisters that had moved to SF, I remember that one was Uncle Frank Sevilla. I think I also met a Aunt Molly and Aunt Cruz. The rest I dont even recall their names at all. I just happen to start looking for info on my great grandfather also. So if you find any please pass it on!

Do you know Father Dennis Sevilla who is Washington State, USA.... When my wife Margie was a child in Barangay Cantuhaon, Palompon, he was parish priest there. Her mother's family name is Bitoy and her father's is Panal. She has relatives in many barangays around Palompon and Isabel, Leyte. Her mother and her mother's cousin Consuelo Bitoy know details of all sorts of extended family relationships.

Am thinking it is possible that Sevilla is a family name on Robert Sevilla Wallace's side.
We know that he lived in both Florida and Alabama.
