Shadrach Scott?

My Great Grandfather's name was either Shadrick,Shadrach, Shadrack, etc. He was married to a Narcissa Fedrich?. They lived in Christian County Kentucky. Their children were Aaron, Frank, Molly and Florence. I believe one or both of the girls married a Combs. Aaron is my grandfather and he married Mary Jane Stacy in Christian County Ky. The 1900 census of Todd County Ky , Dist 85 lists Shadrick? and Narcissa with four children . I have hit a stump in this quest and any help whatsoever from whoever would be most appreciated.

I have a large collection of information about the Shadrach family, originally from the Newport/Never area of Pembrokeshire. The only Stephen Shadrach I have a record of is one born 30 November 1781. I would be very interested to hear from you.

Lynette,

I was aware of other Shadrach's in that part of the county but I have always assumed that they were linked to the family who originated from Newport. The reason I believed this is because an autobiography written by a Shadrach in the 1840's spoke of the family moving to Burton (4 miles from Martletwy) in about 1791. I would very much like to hear about the 400 year occupation of the cottage and to discuss the matter with you further - possibly direct. (I'm afraid I don't know how we contact each other direct without disclosing out email addresses on-line.)

Hi Eirwyn,
The Stephen Shadrach that I have was the son of John Shadrach, a collier. According to family records, Stephen died on 5/23/1860 at the age of 47 and is buried in Martletwy Churchyard. The family home, Pill Cottage, was on Riggan Pill on the Eastern Cleddau and was owned by the family for 400 years. Stephen and Elizabeth had seven daughters, Esther, Jane (who was married to Tom Davies), Elizabeth aka Betsy and Bess, Mary, Eliza, Harriet and ? I do have more info if this is the family that you're interested in. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Lynette Blevins
