Mary, so sorry I did'nt get back to you, my husband just had major surgery, so it kind of put things on hold for awhile.

Anyway, I wanted to let you know that I have managed to find quite a bit of info, both here and in Mo. and VA. Especially about the Thompsons, I have the complete line on them. I would really like to exchange info with you, and will continue to research the family here for any info that you might be looking for. If you would like to just E-Mail me directly, maybe we can arrange to get our info. back and forth to each other. I did learn that Mitchell was 6' 8" tall, and built accordingly.

I look forward to hearing from you, Carol.

Carol, I have quite a bit of info on Lemuel and Sallie. Right now the local state geneology group is doing a special book on Sallie. Many of the newspapers have articles on her. She was known as the oldest living person in Boone Co. I spoke to my mother about pictures of Lem. She does have some of he and brouthers at the Oklahoma oil fields. Burt lived in Pershing for some time. He and Deila are burried in Sapulpa Oklahoma. I'll try to get together the newspaper articles and get some of those pictures copied for you. Any info on the family would be great. I have so many holes. One thing we have always been told, is of our indian ties. My grandmother, Grace, was almost 6 ft tall, very dark hair and blue eyes. Most of the Shadricks I have come across have been light haired and light eyes. The Thompson family is well known to be Cherokee and Osage. Since is work with and in an indian art store, this would be a plus. Also, Lemuel worked with a wagon train that is connected with the Warren family. Many of the articles on Sallie have her talking about their trips back and forth from Virginia. The Warrens have married into the Shadrick family, they also started the town Warrensburg Missouri. I could go on forever but need to gather more info. Thanks Mary

I'm a desprate woman....I have hit a major brick wall.

Do any family researchers have a Shadrack/Shadrick/Shedric or something close in your trees PRIOR to 1835? He would have been born around 1813 in KY or possible Ohio and moved to Indiana about 1835 to marry a Mary Ann Brooks in 1838. (Later to marry Elizabeth Quillen,m Hatfield) In 1838 the spelling was Moulden. It is believed he had a sister Elizabeth Moulden born abt 1802 in Ohio.

I'm grasping I know.... but it's worth a try!

Thank you!!

Debby Moulden Frerichs
Lawrence, KS
debby11@mindspring.com
Hi Debbie,

Your query is so old, I don't know if you will get this, but here is an answer and a query for you.

I descend from Lemuel Shadrick, he is my 3 grtgrfather. His father was a Harvey .D Shadrick.(Shadrack, Shadrich, Shaderic). As far as I know, the ones that went to Missouri, and then some went on to Oklahoma, continued to spell it Shadrick.

You may have quite a lot of information by now, but if you get this message, let me know. I have quite a bit on the Shadricks, but need much more. Would be glad to share all I know with you, as it seems that we may be long lost cousins.

Best regards,

Carol M.

Re: Shadrack and Planner Foxwell

Connie, I am descended from the Foxwells and Pauls. I have a copy of a letter your mother wrote to LaRue Poyer in Jul 2000. In the letter is mentioned Cpt Stephen Foxwell m. Lovia (Cannon) Paul. My ancestors are Stephen's brother Shadrach Foxwell who married Lovia's sister Mary Ann Paul. Your mothers letter is the only mention (besides an undocumented family tree) the I have found for the parents of the Paul sisters, Charles Paul m. Milcah Cannon. I am seeking names and some source documentation for both Charles Paul's and for Milcah Cannon's marriage and ancestries. Most references I have found seem to connect Charles Paul as m. to Milcah Wright. I believe Milcah Cannon, of Wright's Meadow, Dorchester is correct. However my information disagrees with Planner as father to Cpt Stephen, and would connect Stephen and Shadrach as sons of Levin Foxwell. Do you or your mother have any more recent information or a GED file I could compare my notes with? Thought I would do e-mail with general queries for background before I called your mother. Thanks, Leigh
