Research site w/Shaefer matches

Using the instructions below, try all variant spellings of the Shaefer surname. It will tell you at the top how many matches it made. Not all of the matches are accurate, but this has got to be one of the most amazing sites. There are strict guidelines of the use of content so nothing can be posted on the Rootsweb Board.

Here is the URL and a few instructions for those of you who may not have seen this site before.

http://www.brooklynpubliclibrary.org/eagle/index.htm

When you pull that URL, click on:

It will take a bit for the next page, which opens another browser to load. When you get there, you'll see a tab at the top that says:

Keyword Search

Click on that tab. I left the default settings and in the box called:

Search Term

I typed in Shaefer. It will load some matches. You can click on the pics of the Newspaper icons and it will open a small browser so that you can read the entire article.

This is an amazing site. It's not just the content, it's the site itself that has me amazed. Hey...web design is my thing and I am just amazed. Did I mention I was amazed? lol..

A person could spend all day on that site, providing they were easily amused like me...lol...Enjoy !

Sherri
Shaefer Admin & other variant spellings
http://www.berlindog.com

Hello! I hope someone out there can help me! I have reached a 'wall' with my great great grandmother, Elnora Shaffer. She was born in 1849 (not sure of birth place) and died in 1922 in Endwell, New York. She married Henry
Sanford Zimmer and had at least one daughter, Leila B. Zimmer. Anyone with any information on Elnora or the Shaffers of New York please respond! Thank you!
