Those who have already joined, and I are having a great time. We are meeting new family members we have never met before, renewing friendships with those we have not seen in years, sharing past & present pictures of our family, being able to see how those of us have grown & changed over the years. We are usually checking in with each other on a daily basis. We have a family tree in which we are bring up to date with the new births, marriages, and sadly the deaths of our loved ones. Your last name does not have to be "Schaffer" you just have to be a descendent of Alexander & Mary Elizabeth (Peters) Schaffer, and a connected family by marriage to one of the Schaffer descendents.
