Searching for information of Marshall Wicox Shanklin and his family. He was born March 28, 1843 in Ohio. He married Martha Ann Conrad (who was born Jan. 7, 1848 in New York) November 16, 1867 in Fayette Co., Iowa. They had 11 children:

3) Harriet R. b. June 11, 1872 Iowa m. William Fletcher in Portland, Oregon d. April 26, 1932 Tillamook, Oregon
4) Charles M. died young
5) Frank C, b. May 30, 1876 Iowa
6) Mate Alpharetta (Retta) b. July 28, 1877 Iowa died Nov. 30, 1936
7) Jane Elisa b. November 18, 1878 Iowa died 1907
8) Harlan Dorr b. May 7, 1882 Iowa buried in Lewis Co., WA.
9) Ada Florence b. July 28, 1884 buried in lewis Co. WA
10) James Marshall b. July 1, 1886 Iowa d Sept 9, 1964, Gilliam, Oregon
11) Schuyler leroy b. Sept. 5, 1889 married Nellie Phipps died April 14, 1983 Baker, Oregon.

I have some data on the family, some seems inconsistant. Some Family Data Collection records at www.ancestry.com aren't working for me.

But I am missing a lot of pieces. THis is not my family, I am researching for another family memeber.

There seems to be a lot of Shanklins out there and this family seems to have had a lot of members die very young. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
