George M. Sharum (grandson of George A. Sharum and Ann Seals) is my great-great grandfather. After reading through some of the older postings, I would love to have more information regarding the parents of George A. Sharum. Has anyone confirmed that Pierre (born on a ship) is Georga A. Sharum's father? If so, what part of France are the Sharums from? (For some reason, my grandmother seemed to think it was Alsace-Lorraine, but I have nothing other than that to go by) - And have we confirmed that Sharum is the original spelling? I am beginning to plan a trip to France in the spring, and if I knew the area, I would make that a part of my travels in hopes that further information could be found, and I would definitely share.
