"Sonja Nicole Shealy passed away Saturday, Dec. 24, 2005, after being ill for the past eight months. She was a liver transplant candidate and died at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL.
Sonja was born June 25, 1970, in Titusville, FL. She graduated from Titusville HIgh School and the University of Central Florida. She was a resident of Winter Park and was employed as a sales representative with Colonial Paper Company in Orlando.
She is survived by her parents, Joel and Glenda Garnell Shealy of Titusville; a brother, Kyle Shealy of Cumming, GA; maternal grandfather, Leonard Risinger of Titusville and formerly of Leesville.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, J.Q. and Mildred Shealy, and maternal grandmother, Faye Risinger, all formerly of Leesville.
A memorial service for Sonja was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3671 South Hopkins Ave., Titusville.
Memorial donations may be made to either the Music Ministry of Trinity Lutheran Church or the Shands Liver Transplant Program, c/o Development Office, 720 S.W. 2nd Ave., Suite 510, Gainesville, FL 32601."
