Do you have some background information, like locations and dates?

My Sheard connection comes from Racine Co., Wisconsin. Those Sheards arrived from Yorkshire in the 1840s. Some stayed, some moved on westward.

Mary Sheard - Claytonwest Yorkshire

Hi. I'm hoping someone has some information on Mary Sheard b.abt 1800 Claytonwest, Yorkshire.

She married in 1822 Elijah Bedford at High Hoyland.

I think her parents were Charles and Sarah, also from Claytonwest.

There are quite a few Sheards buried in High Hoyland churchyard but I'm not sure how they fit in.

I have the Bedford information and would love to fill in the gaps! Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Neil

I think you are searching for my father, Kenneth George Sheard born 9.11.1945, he was a chemist. He moved to Australia and married Karina Patricia Sheard nee Kelly in the 1970's at Townsville north Queensland. My name is Cassie Mcguire nee Sheard and i was born in 1978. I have an older sister and brother. Any information you have on my Father would be very appreciated as unfortunately he passed away in 1995 when i was only 16 and I do not have any family history. I now have a little boy of my own and want to tell him about his Grandad. So any info would be great - Thanks Cassie

The Sheards are of Ancient Anglo-Saxon origin and comes from a family once having lived in the Township of Shardelow in the parish of Aston-upon-Trent in the county of derbyshire. First found in derbyshire where they were Anciently seated as lords of the manor of Shardelow, some say before the time of the Norman conquest of England in 1066 AD

I'm looking to exchange information with anyone having data on Thomas Sheard of Leeds, Yorkshire, probably born early 1800's. A daughter, Mary Sheard, was born in the Leeds area on 24 Jan 1834/35. She was in Barmby on the Marsh by 1851 and was married in Hull in 1854. She and her husband, Edward Thompson, emigrated to Canada in 1863.

There is a possibility that my great aunt, Sarah Jane SHEARD ran a public house on I.o.M. in the 1890s. As far as I am aware, her husband, Joe SHEARD went to the USA early in 1890 or '91, therefore she would have been on her own. She joined him in the early 1900s in Massachusetts. Do you have any relevant information?
Hi, I am also trting to trace the Sheard family background.

my Grt. Grandfather John Noble was married to an Edith Sheard October 1887 They lived in Brighouse Yorkshire. I managed to get a copy of their marriage certificate and William Sheard was Edith's Father, but I am pretty sure that this William Sheard was a Stone Miner.

My Grandfather Stanley Noble born 1900 had a sister Clara? might not be a connection but I thought I would reply just in case.

After John Noble died Edith Sheard later married a Mr. Drake, but do not have any inf. about him other than he lived in Brighouse.

Regards

Janet

Edwin was born around 1847 and was married to Ellen Woodhead.
I think Edwin's father's name was William Sheard and was born around 1823. William was married to Sara Milner/Milnes. I think they are all from Batley.
Anyone have these people in their line?

Greetings Jackie:
When I was a young boy I met Arlene and Bill Cheney. My father and mother mentioned them often. I met Aunt Mattie once while Arlene was taking care of her. I refer to Isaac and Martha as uncle and aunt but they are actually my great uncle and aunt. Uncle Isaac left my father, Howard, money in his will that helped finance the building of the family store in Endicott, NY.
I assume that you are descended from Jessie Sheard who married Earl Cline. I have quite a bit of information to share with you. I hope to hear from you.
Phil Davis

Sheard

Hi. I am trying to continue the search on my Sheard background. Thanks to a few people I have had some great assistance already. Am wondering if anyone has these people in their background already. William Sheard born Ovenden, Yorkshire approximately 1819 - Worsted Weaver living in Luddenden, Warley in 1867or 1871, married to Mary (maiden name unknown) children were: Ann, Betty, John, Matthew, David & Mary. David is my great grandfather. He was married to Kezia(h) Ambler and they had children:Clara, Edith, Arthur, Jessie, Katie, Mary & Herbert (Herbert was my grandfather). Kezia is listed later as a Widow, but her husband David shows on the same census as living with his 2 sisters Ann & Betty. Kezia emigrated to Canada approx 1908/9. Eventually her son Herbert came around 1911 and a daughter Mary. Kezia went on to marry a George Walton in Canada. So if anyone has a connection to either the Sheard part or the Ambler (Kezia's family is: Moses, Sarah, Anthony, Kezia, Mary Emma & Anne) all from the Yorkshire, Warley, Ovenden area. Would love more info on David Sheard and even the rest of the family on both sides. Thanks to anyone who replies.
