My great-grandfather William Curtis Sheffer was born in Ashland, Nebraska in 1872. Several years later his mother Martha died and he ended up living in a boarding house. His siblings and father Curtis Leroy Sheffer were living with his grandfather William Sheffer.
William Curtis married Sarah Elizabeth Weed in Sept. 1894. My grandfather William Everett was born in Sept. 1895. My parents always told me that grandpa said he himself was born in the twin cities of Minn. I have found no information to support that theory.
Anyway,I am trying to find any information on this family from 1894-1926. I would like to know where they were all that time.
