Everyone knows about the 4 Sheffield brothers who came to Mass in the mid 1600's. It has been proven that they are not connected to the Virginia Sheffields.
Ancestry.com shows 5 Sheffield brothers, Edmund, Amos, Isham, John, and Isiah entering Virginia from England in 1622.
Thomas Sheffield and his wife Rachel were killed in an Indian attack in 1622. In 1634 a John Sheffield is shown in possession of the plantation of Thomas and Rachel.
Does anyone have info on these brothers? So far nobody in my line has been proved prior to John who was born in 1728.
Don't be shy... help me if you have any proved info.
