My great grandfather Frank M. Sheldon was one of three sons born to Arthur M. Sheldon and Lydia Makee Sheldon. Though I've only found Lydia in New York, Arthur's obituary reveals that they got married in Wisconsin in 1861.

Arthur served in the 136th NY infantry from 1862 through 1865. After Lydia died in 1869, Arthur moved back to Greenbush, WI and married Phoebe Parmenter in 1877 and ultimately died in Greenbush. Phoebe's sister was married to a Henry H. Sheldon, born in Orford, NH in 1841. But I don't see a direct relationship between Arthur and Henry.

I'd like to be able to find out who Arthur's parents were.
