I am interested in the apparent confusion in the RootsWeb WorldConnect about Daniel SHELLHAMMER and Elizabeth SMAIL family of Kiskiminetas Twp, Armstrong Co, PA. There are no less than 14 entries for this couple in RootsWeb WorldConnect. Five entries have no birthplace and no parents indicated for Daniel. Seven of the entries have Daniel born in Bucyrus, Crawford Co, OH with parents of Daniel SHELLHAMMER and Mary Elizabeth BOYER. One entry has him born in PA (no parents identified) and one in Franklin Twp, Westmoreland Co, PA with parents Phillip SHELLHAMMER and Elizabeth SILVIS. The US Censuses (1850-1900) all indicate he was born in PA.

Can anyone clarify this confusion?
