Lieutenant Shepard is the son of Mr and Mrs C. B. (Corey Bone) Shepard of Pantex Village. Both parents are instructors at Amarillo Army Air Field. His wife Mrs C. R. Shepard resides at 615-B. West Twenty first Ave. He is a former employee of J. C. Penney Company and enlisted in July 1941. He received basic training at Fort Bliss and Camp Wolters. In May 1942 he was commissioned an officer of the infantry at Fort Benning Ga and two months later completed his paratrooper training at that base. He shipped to England in September 1943
