Has anyone come across a family of the Sherlocks from the Claremorris area in Co Mayo. My great grandmother was Catherine Sherlock born about 1836, married a Thomas Mongan from Claremorris in about 1856/1857. There are no other listings of the surname in the area for the Griffiths Valuation or the 1901 Census. I can only presume that the family either emigrated or the name died out.

If anyone has any information it would be greatly appreciated.
