Looking for information on the family of Ernest Linwood SHERLOCK. He was adopted by George and Mollie SHERLOCK of Pasquotank County, NC, who lived near/on Peartree Road.

Ernest Linwood SHERLOCK was born 17 Oct 1886. He married Annie Sarah Johnson. His death certificate (7 Oct 1951) lists his father's name as John Jordan. His mother was named Lizzie, maiden unknown; she later married and became Lizzie Gregory.

Ernest had a sister named Annie Jordan, who was not adopted by the SHERLOCK family but supposedly lived with them. Ernest's adoption was widely known as fact by his immediate family, but we have no idea if it was legalized.
