i'm so confused on this. Catherine was married to Andrew Starnes. Their first child was born about 1795. Per census records Catherine should be born about 1772. I'm seeing it stated that Catherine was the daughter of John & Sarah Sherrill. What is most confusing..John, son of Samuel Sherrill & Mary Preston Davidson is being listed as born about 1765. Now either appx time of birth is way off or how can this be her father? He wouldn't even be 10 years old. Per all records i find Samuel was b 1725 & Mary abt 1729 with marriage occurring abt. 1747. Does anyone have anything that differs from what i keep finding? I hope i didn't confuse anyone with this post but it makes me shake my head every time i look at it. This Samuel Sherrill would have been the son of Adam "The Pioneer" Sherrill. Please help
