Beatrice G. Shideler, 85, Huntington, died at 9:09 p.m. Monday (March 13, 2006) at Elkhart General Hospital.
Mrs. Shideler, a 1939 graduate of Jefferson Township High School, had worked for more than 25 years as a checkout clerk at Gene's Market in Warren. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
She was born Jan. 29, 1921, in Huntington County, to Roy E. and Nora M. Cloud Riggs.
Survivors include a daughter, Joanna Grassl of Huntington; two grandsons and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn L. Riggs, and a great-granddaughter.
Calling is from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. David Arnold officiating.
Interment will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be made to McKenzie's Hope Child Advocacy Center or Riley Hospital for Children in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington IN 46750.
