My 4th great grandfather was Samuel Shiveley who was born in Pennsylvania around 1817. In 1860, he and his wife (Carolina Renner Shively) lived in Palmer Township, Northampton County, PA. Samuel and Carolina had 10 children we are aware of: Marietta, Matilda, John, George, Benjamin, Maria, Samuel, Susanna, Richard, and Caroline – all of whom were born between 1842 and 1859.
