Hi Shockey Family,
I'm trying to fill in the gaps in my family tree, and I was hoping that someone around here might be able to help.
At least as far as my direct family is concerned, the Shockey name ended with my great grandmother, Frances Shockey, who married Edward Connelly, both of PA.
I know that Frances' father was a Walter Shockey (married to Elizabeth Beard), and I know that we are descended from Johann Christoffel through his sixth child, Jacob. Anyone between Jacob and Walter is a mystery to me.
I've been using a number that I believe my grandmother found written somewhere to track my family back to Jacob. My number (according to my grandmother) is:
6.3.9.3.2.4.4.1.1
Meaning that Jacob was the sixth child and his third child is my ancestor, and that child's ninth child... and so on. The only thing is, it seems that Jacob's third child was a girl, Susanna, and were that the case, the it seems like the name would have died there.
So basically, I'm looking for help getting from Jacob to Walter. Could anybody help me fill in the gaps?
Many thanks,
Genevieve Liberatore
