I need more information. My gggrandfather was Zorobabel Shockley (1850 AL) whose parents were William C. Shockley (abt 1823 SC) and Martha R. Campbell (abt 1817 TN)according to the 1850 Cherokee Co., AL, census. I am looking for resources which give more information on William C. and his wife (marriage, birth, death records, etc) as well as their parents. WFT indicates William C. as a son of William S. but there is no source info to verify this.
