I believe this is your John Shoemaker. He died in Hopewell Twp. Cumberland Co. Pa. He was a distiller by trade. Philip Sohemaker was a Witness on a deed of his in Hopewell Twp in 1815.Children were Eliza(Elizabeth), who married Thomas McCandless of Williamsport, Md.; James Shoemaker of Hopewell Twp.; Samuel; William; Nancy A living in Monmoth, Ill.; John Shoemaker, who died in St. Louis Mo.; and Pauline Margaret, who married a Martin.
