Shoemaker''s in Texas

My grandmother is Clara Jobe(Shoemaker). I know that her father's name was Oscar and had residence once in Childress, Texas. My grandmother was born in the 1920s. Unfortunately she became homed in an orphanage in AZ before she eventually met my grandfather and moved to New Mexico. Any information about Oscar Shoemaker and ancestry leading to Europe would be greatly appreciated.
