Greetings Lori,
This is a rare coincidence. I have been searching for my great grandmother, Roseanna Shoemaker. There appears to be two ancestors with the same name.
Do any of your Shoemaker families extend down to Wilkes county, North Carolina? That is where my Roseanna appeared on the 1860 census and had married Windsor Mason the year before.
