I am a "Shouse" decendant originally from Indiana, my father was John Franklin Shouse, his father was Harley E. Shouse born in Pike County, Indiana, and married to Frances Almon. His father was: James H. Shouse, born in 1860 in Knox Co. Indiana, and married to Mary E. Snyder. His father was George Henry Shouse, born 1830, in Palmira Township, Indiana, married to Catherine Westfall. We started out with: Johannes Schauss, born in 1625, and died before 1674. His son was Johanne Beinhardt Schauss born 1650, married to Anna Margretha Barbara Naas. Heinrich Schauss might have been one of the brothers who crossed the Cumberland gap with Boone, he settled in Kentucky. He was married to Elizabeth Bone. He died 9/26/1825 in Kentucky. They were originally from Stokes Co. North Carolina. Thank you for any help.
