BLUEWELL — Macie L. Cundiff, 97, of Red Oak Ridge, Bluewell, formerly of Linkous Street, Princeton, passed peacefully early Thursday morning, February 7, 2008 at the home of her daughter, Imogene Bowman.
Born October 19, 1910, at Dott, she was the daughter of the late William Henderson Shrewsbury and Arminta Elizabeth Shrewsbury.
Mrs. Cundiff was a devoted mother and homemaker, she was an avid gardener and farmer, and enjoyed quilting and crocheting. She was of the Pentecostal faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three husbands, Luell Meadows, Larnie McKinney and Garnett Cundiff. Also preceding her in death, a daughter, Beulah Mae Meadows Smith; two grandsons, Wayne Meadows and Daniel Cook; a great-grandson, Jack Brian Pollack; and several siblings.
Survivors include: Her children whom she loved dearly, Kenneth Meadows and wife Jonnie of Medicine, Va., Vergil Meadows and wife Bobbie of Andrews, Texas, Raymond Meadows and wife Mae of Carlsbad, N.M., Curmit Meadows and wife Leona of Loveland, Colo., James McKinney and wife Kitty of Carlsbad, N.M., Imogene Bowman and husband Ronald of Bluewell, with whom she made her home; a special granddaughter, Bobbie Meadows, who assisted with her care in her final year; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Garland Shrewsbury and Verlie Shrewsbury both of Mercer County.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 11, 2008, from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Connie Lester officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens on the Courthouse Road in Princeton.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 until 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Family and friends may share messages of love and condolences via www.memorialfd.com
Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
