In response to the notes about the family and race. The Sias name, as many others, it not specific to one nationality. Sias can be derived from many others foreign spellings, as Sieyes had. In researching many of the Sias family out of WV, they have a bit of everything, including English, French (Sieyes orignination), German, Irish, and list goes on. We are as mixed as they get. American at this point. The Sias line is not royal, but whos to say that those that married into the line were at some distant time, 500+ years ago. (as many family are) . Thomas C. Sias is my father, and has shared many stories about the family, he and I have put more than a few rumors to rest after valid documentation. I was fortunate enough to obtain the Sias Book and copy it. I will try in the future to make a file from the scanned pages to share with others.
The Hunter line (Louisa) is still diffucult to follow. I would enjoy additional information if anything new has been obtained
