"Geraldine Virginia Crisman Sibert, 84, of Woodstock, died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005, at her home. Mrs. Sibert was born Jan. 23, 1921, in Fort Valley, daughter of the late Clarence E. and Frances 'Fanny' Walker Crisman. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Woodstock, serving as church sexton for 40 years and on the maintenance committtee. She was the wife of the late James B. Sibert.
Surviving are seven sons, James R. Sibert of New York, Thomas Lee Sibert of Maryland, William Lynn Sibert of Maurertown, Gary Allen Sibert of Tampa, FL, Gerald Edward Sibert of Mount Jackson, Charles Joseph Sibert and Michael Glenn Sibert, both of Woodstock; a sister, Elizabeth Cecil of Mechanicsville; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was conducted Monday, Nov. 28, at Massahutten Cemetery in Woodstock by the Revs. Everett Burner and Daniel Kasten. Memorial contributions may be made to Shenandoah Memorial Hospital, 759 S. Main St., Woodstock, VA; Tandem Health Care, 803 S. Main St., Woodstock, VA; Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork St., Winchester, VA 22601; or Woodstock Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 221, Woodstock, VA 22664."
