He lived in the Gauley Bridge, Fayette, WV. Could this be related? I don't have a Wife or Children.

She was married to Marion Francis Litchfield,(he passed away before my parents met) around the time he passed away, from what I gather she wasnt well in the head. So we never had a chance to really to learn about our heritage, so if anyone knows of her please post a message. ( I forgat to mention that she resided in Point Pleasant Galliopolis Ferry area for at least 27 yrs until she passed away in pt. pleasant. )

A family source believes that the Siders were also allied with the Mooderspaughs, but I've yet to find a connection.

I was born to Victor A Siders in Stockton Calif. In 1951
He lives in Sacramento Ca. now.
Originally he was from around the Ozark area and also I guess he resided in Springfield Mo. and Springfield Ill. area earlier in his life. He had/has a brother around these parts to my knowledge also. I know he lived in or around the Arkansas/Mo. line in a little place called Mountain View. I have visited there once with My (now deseased) mother Esther.

I found the following obituary in a bible that I picked up at a rummage sale. I hope it helps somebody.

Mrs. Mary C. Siders

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the First U.B. church for Mrs. Mary Catherine Alger Siders who died suddenly Friday noon in her home on Adams street. The Rev. L.P. Cooper of the First U.B. church of Brazil will conduct the services.

Mrs. Siders was tghe daughter of Jacob and Mary (Able) Sayre and was born in Wabash county, March 9, 1862. She has been a resident of Wabash for more than 52 years.

On June 25, 1881 she was married to Eli Alger who preceded her in death, March 8, 1999905. Joseph Siders, whom she married later, died Aug 4, 1924.

The body will be taken to the family residence from the Jones Funeral home Saturday afternoon where friends may call.

Burial will be in the Friends cemetery.

According to his obituary, he was born in New York state and moved to Canton, Illinois about 1857. Other sources say he was born in PA or KY He married Harriet Golden 8/21/1859 in Fulton Co, IL Children living at his death were James, John, Wil, Emma and Florence (Finfrock).He died at the age of 67 on June 23, 1897 and is buried at Greenwood Cemetery, Canton, IL

I would like to know where he lived before moving to IL, who his parents and siblings were and a date of birth. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Looking for information about John Siders and his wife Rebecca who lived near Elizabethtown in Lancaster County PA. In the Civil War pension Application of Samuel L. Achison in 1892, Rebecca Siders said that she was 66 years old, that she was the widow of John Siders, and that Samuel Achison lived with her and her husband for seven years before he enlisted in the Army. Also, their neighbors were John & Leander Siders who gave depositions for Samuel Achison too. What was Rebecca's name before she married John Siders. What relationship did the Siders have with Samuel Achison?
William A Diffenbaugh (born about 1843) of Elizabethtown also made an Affidavit for Samuel Achison's Civil War pension and he said that his relationship with Samuel was that Samuel's mother married William's grandfather after the death of Samuel's father. Who was William's grandfather, and was there any relationship with the Siders?
Samuel married Magdelina Shenk in 1867 near Union Deposit in Dauphin County, and moved to Callaway County Missouri about 1873.

Stanley Pershing Siders enlisted in the World War 2 in June 27, 1944,he was a 350th Bomber Squadron and 100th Bomber,he was a Sergeant,he was classified as MISSING (M.I.A.)This is all that I know.
