Sifferman - Ohmer family picture

The lady in the attached picture is Carrie Ohmer-Sifferman, she is the one in the 2nd row just above the two kids on the left of the picture (as you look at it). Her husband, Karl Ohmer is above her. Can anybody tell me who the rest of the people in this picture are? I was told they are Siffermans but I am not sure. This would go a long way in helping me with my Genealogy chase. Thank you.
The last known date for or branch of Sifferman immigrating to the US is 1832 to Baltimore from Oensbach, Baden, Germany. He married Catherine Weaver (Weber) in 1818. I am trying to trace the name before immigration. Can you make any connection?

Chris: After many months I finally checked and received your messages... sorry about that. No, I do not know anything about Peter's siblings... haven't a clue! You mentioned a William Sifferman and by chance, Peter and his wife, Eva K. Hombach, had three children---named Frank, WILLIAM, and Mary. Peter died in Victoria, Texas about 1851, but the reason he was in Texas and where he came from remain a mystery. I did receive a note from a Phillipe Sifferman in France who has been working on this line, but I don't know if there could be any connection. We'll see. Sorry for the long delay in answering... keep in touch.
Iris

Phillippe: Thank you for replying. No, I do not speak French, so sorry. Many of my ancestors came from Alsace Lorraine, France and perhaps Peter Sifferman came from there also. I do not know of any of his brothers or sisters. He married Eva Katherine Hombach after arriving in Texas (USA). He was born about 1823 and died in Texas about 1851. If any of your ancestors were named Peter with an approximate birth date of 1823, please let me know. Thank you.
Iris A. Thayer

Iris,
I finally found that information it is on 11x14 size paper. I would be happy to send it to you or fax it. Please respond to my email account cwilson_19@yahoo.com and let me know how you would like to get it. I did not find a Peter, but maybe another connection will spark your interest. I believe you said you are in the Arizona area??? I am in California in the high desert. Here's a little more info:
My Grandmother was a "Bueillier" that married a Sifferman...and her sister married a "Wilson"... (which made the Wilson and Sifferman kids 1st cousins) the weekend of the 4th is a big "Wilson" reunion in Riverside. I am planning on attending with my parents. Te Wilsons have the reunion one year in California and the next year in the Springfield Mo. area. I know we are getting off track here from Sifferman, but I thought the info was quite interesting since I came around two generations later and married a Wilson. hmmmm......
keep in touch....
Chris

Chris: Alsace Lorraine is where many of my ancestors came from also...the Sifferman's, Simons, Sitterles, Schucherts, and some others. I wouldn't doubt that somewhere along the line our Sifferman's are connected if we go back far enough. I don't have anything on Peter Sifferman's parents. I have an interest in him because my great grandmother was married to him first and had 3 children by him. Many times when they would immigrate to the US, many of the Germans went to Texas, my great grandfather Schuchert included, however his younger brother came over also and settled in Ohio. I have a lot of history from the Texas line since I grew up in Texas. By the way, where are you writing from, Missouri??
Appreciate the input and if, after dusting off the records, you find anything interesting, please let me know.
Have a great day.... it's very hot here in Kingman, Arizona.
Iris

This would make us about the same age since my granparents (Nellie and Lewis) were born in 1899 and 1900. My father William Sifferman was born in 1924. My ancestor's are originally from the French part of Germany Aus Sais Larraine (probably, most surely spelt incorrectly) I believe my way back great times ??? name was Nicholas but Sifferman was spelt differently. I will have to find time to blow the dust off and check what little revords I have. My Aunt Lucille Sifferman spent her life researching her family and the Sifferman family until her unexpected death about four years ago. Nellie and Lew had six children... Wayne, William, Norris, Regina, Noreva and Hildred. It may take some time but I will post back here with any information I can find.
Chris Wlson

Thanks for your reply. The only information I have on Peter Sifferman was that he was born in Germany and his wife, Eva Katherine Hombach was born in Hallgarten, Nassau, Germany. They migrated to America and settled in Victoria, Texas. He died in Texas about 1851 and she remarried a Peter Simon (and they are my great grandparents), Katherine and Mr.Sifferman had 3 children, Frank Sifferman, William Sifferman, and Mary Sifferman. Most of these children were born from 1848 to 1851, and whatever happened to the children of the two sons, I am totally at a loss. I know Mary remarried and died in Texas.
There could be a connection back in Germany. If you get back that far, maybe somewhere there would be a Peter show up. Anyway thanks for the reply and good luck also.
Iris Thayer

Peter Sifferman immigrated to Texas, settling in Victoria, around 1847-1848. He married Eva Katherine Hombach, possibly in Germany. He died in Victoria about 1850/1851.
