To Roberto Godinez:I know my great grand father was from Chihuahua,Mexico, but there is a great variety ofSigala families in different parts of France,so I thought maybe during the 1700-1800-When France had a puppet emperor in Mexico and Maximiliano and his mate Carlota came from France with a ship full of French sailors and soldiers maybe there was a Sigala in his group.I know that the name is French or Spanish Basque name which is the part of France and Spain in the Pyrennes mountains where the Basque people live. Then again it may be spanish basque when the conquistadores came to America. Myself I was born in Roswell,New mexico, and my parents were born in Manzano,New mexico ,A village in the Manzano Mountains 60 miles from Albuquerque ,New Mexico.I have three sons in California and a daughter in the Los Angeles Harbor area of Wilmington-san pedro area also two cousins in the West Covina area.I'm interested in genealogy that's why I know a little about my surname.my e-mail address is yellowhand4@webtv.net if I give you more info.
