From the Warren, PA Evening Democrat, July 27, 1900:

"The Remains of George W. Sill
Interred in Oakland Cemetery.
The last sad rites over the remains
of the late Geo. W. Sill were performed
this alternoon at the family
residence on Fourth street. A large
number of friends were present to do
last homage to one so prominent in
this community. The services were
conducted by Rev. Dr. J. W. Smith
assisted by Rev. A. R. Taylor, of the
Episcopal church. The remarks of
these gentlemen were well calculated
to bring comfort and to sooth those
left behind. There was no music.

The floral offerings were among
the most beautiful ever seen in this
city and are a fine testimonial to the
esteem and regard in which Mr.
Sill was held by all who knew him.

The pall bearers who accompanied
the remains to the last resting place
were T. N. Barnsdall and E. P.
Whitcomb, of Bradford; H. W.
O'Dell, G. H. Ahrens and J. B. Ross,
of Jamestown; E. H. McDermott, of
Kane, and Wm. Schaur and J. E.
Drum, of Warren. The interment
was in Oakland.

Among the prominent personages
from out of town were:
J. W. Lee, T. N. Barnsdall, W. S.
Mowris, W. J. Burke, R. P. Miller
and J. B. Andrews, of Pittsburg;
Mr. and Mrs. A. W. O'Dell, Geo. H.
Ahrens, Jas. Ross and J. T. Larmouth,
of Jamestown; E. P. Whitcomb,
L. E. Mallory, Wm. Barnshall and Frank Hamilton, of
Bradford; Frank E. Ripley, of
Chicago; Geo. H. Torrey, of Oil
City; E. B. Beann, of Titusville;
Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Shaw, of Moons,
N. Y. and Rick Donovan and Ed.
McDermott, of Kane."

Hope this helps.
Bill
