My understanding is that the Silvera's originally came from Palestine and went to Portugal where they left because of religious persecution.One brother came to Jamaica, one went ot Haiti and one went to Cuba. The brother from Cuba then rejoined the brother in Jamaica.This is oral history from Silvera's who were born before 1900 - obviously now deceased.
