Parents of Horace Horatio Simcoe of Gloucester County, Va.

I'm looking for the parents of Horace Horatio SIMCOE, born about 1811 in Gloucester County, Va. Horace married a widow, Sarah (?) HOWLETT and they had a daughter Almira Virginia SIMCOE, born in Norfolk County in September 1830. Sarah (?) HOWLETT had two children by her marrriage to an unknown HOWLETT. They were Warner Lewis HOWLETT (19 April 1823 - 6 March 1894) and Mary Francis HOWLETT.

The 1850 Census found the Horace H. SIMCOE family in Norfolk, Norfolk County, Va. He appears to have passed on prior to 1860 as Sarah (?) HOWLETT SIMCOE was living with her daughter's family, the William Jacob HUNT family of Portsmouth, Va., in the 1860 census.

At this point I do not know where Horace Horatio SIMCOE is buried. I do not know if he was a victim of the Yellow Fever epidemic.

I am trying to find info on the Simcoes. The only info I have is Mary Frances Dobson (born Feb 1820) married a Henry (?) Simcoe prior to 1853 when she married a second husband as a widow of Mr Simcoe. They had at least one child, Susan Ann Simcoe who married William Arthur Culpepper. Family lore has it that Mr Simcoe was decended from a English Simcoe who was a Governor of some description in Canada...If anyone knows anything of these Simcoes, I'd be grateful if they would share the info....Thank you, Brent
