I have done a couple of years worth of research on my part of the Simerly family.
John Simerly came to the U.S.in 1770s,fought in the revolutionary war.I have traced most of my family from him to myself.
There are a few questions on a couple of family members though.
My Great Grandma was,Isabell Dugger, she had a twin sister named Ellabell. My great Grandpa was Augustus Lee Simerly. They were all born around 1889,in Elizabethton.
I have a lot more info,if someone I am related to needs it.Email me,Thanks,Doug Simerly
