Ok Just a quick vent and then I'll be Serious. Niederheckenbach, Germany, Wish I would have discovered that name, About 20 years ago, When I was Like there, In the Army. I could have taken a week off and enjoyed the quest.
Ok My Great Grandfather was from there, his name was Nickolaus Simons, I found a copy of a passport request dated Sept 29 1904 where it seems he wanted to go back for a visit. He arrived in the States in July 25 1884 and resided here from 1884 to 1903, he was naturalized in Salem Iowa Now the fun part how do I tie him to his father?? I found his birth record in Germany but I am having diffculty work in the German Archives. Any hints??
