Searching for Cousins who are descendants of Clayton L. Sims, born about 1898 in Nova Scotia, Canada and who lived most of his adult life in Lynn, Massachusetts, Essex Co. He is son of Lorenzo Sims who died 1903 when he drowned during a fishing expedition and his wife, Mary Eliza Conrad. This family was originally from Liverpool, Nova Scotia, Canada- Queens Co. My research suggests Mary moved the family to the U.S. about 1916, to Essex Co. Massachusetts.
Believe Mary & Lorenzo had the following children:
Stanley Sims - b. abt. 1893
Clarence Sims - abt. 1895
Kelly or Hartley Sims - b. 1897
Clayton Sims -b.1899, although Social Security rec. say 1896
Helen L. Sims - abt. 1901
Bertha M. Sims - abt. 1903
I believe I've tracked their son Clayton down to Lynn, Massachusetts in the 1930 census where it appears he and wife, Agnes had the following children:
Gloria M. - abt. 1923
Calvin D. - abt. 1924
Clayton L. Jr. - abt. 1927
I'd appreciate any contacts about this family as my GrandFather was a younger brother of Lorenzo - I have much to share and hope to learn more about these Sims lines. -Thanks, Allan Griffith, Bloomington, IL, USA - magrif@verizon.net
