Just found a marriage in my indirect line and thought someone might have a stray that would connect. In 1855 in Newburyport, Massachusetts, there is a marriage on 24 Dec for Alexander SINCLAIR, age 23, born Scotland to John C. & Mary J. Sinclair, a clergyman, residing "Alegany, Penn." (Allegheny?). The bride was Ellen C(ummings) PLUMMER, age 24, residing Newburyport, born Newburyport to William & Elizabeth PLUMMER. It was a first marriage for both parties, performed by Daniel T.
