DoD Identifies Army Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Spc. Uday Singh, 21, of Lake Forest, Ill., was killed on Dec. 1 in Habbaniyah, Iraq. Singh died of injuries sustained when enemy forces attacked his patrol.
Singh was assigned to C Company, 1st Battalion, 34th Armored Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, based in Fort Riley, Kan.
The incident is under investigation.
