I do recognize some of the names I've seen posted on here, my family came in a large group from Germany in 1883, they had so many children the youngest was more than the could legally bring over on the ship so he had to be smuggled in a meat barrel. I think that may have been charles andrew sipp but I'll have to find the records tomorrow and find out for sure. I know another was named william henry sipp... anyway I'll wait until tomorrow to write more after I have more details but hope to hear from some fellow sipps since we're not very common :)
