I live in macon co. NC on property that is known locally as "six killers reservation".I would love any info on this sixkiller and any of his family. he is mentioned in a few old macon co. deed books but only to reference who now owned his lands. thanks

My Dad is one of sara's four remaining living children. My Youngest daughter (25) is named after her. I just threw my Dad's 85th birthday party over the 4th of July weekend at which three of the siblings and several grandkids and greats were in attendance. Retta's son, Gene, was also in attendance. Who are you? The message I posted was quite a long time ago.

I don't know if you get on here at all anymore, but my Grandpa was Mark Sixkiller. Mark Sixkiller was Rufus Sixkiller's brother. I was wondering if anyone had any info on my family. It's been rough finding anyhing out. Feel free to email me at chrissixkiller@cox.net if anyone has anything.

Soldier was my ggggrandfather but what was even more interesting to me was that was the notes written by AD Lester and Wanda - relatives on my other side, my paternal grandfather, Enon S. Lester who married my Sixkiller grandmother!!!

I was searching for other Sixkillers and saw your posting. I am the daughter of Charles David Sixkiller, Sr. He is the son of Houston Sixkiller. I was told my dad is a cousin or distant cousin to Sonny Sixkiller. Other than that I don't have much information. I am interested to know if you have information that we may be related.

Have you ever done a search by keyword through old posts on a message board and happily struck gold by finding names or dates related to your ancestors? You quickly send an email to that poster's listed address only to discover their "addy" has long changed. You then return to the message board and post a response, hoping that person will soon read the board. You wait.

I clicked on Shari's name to access her email address and to see any and all message board posts she's made. I only found the one post. If she doesn't see your reply you might try emailing her directly. I hope that when she posted her query back in 2002 that she clicked on the box "Send Me An Email When Anyone Replies To This Message" so that your message will get to her whether or not she checks the Sixkiller board.

Jerry, why not post some of your SIXKILLER research here? No need to go off-board with it, as this forum can reach dozens of people over time. Please consider sharing names/dates/locations of your ancestors (be careful with info on living people!) right here on this board. It might connect you to other distant "cousins."

Sorry to take over 2.5 years to reply! I gave up hope of hearing from anyone. YES, we are cousins. Buel Dean was my uncle. My father (YOUR uncle) is John Burton Campbell (adopted by Julia's sister Virginia). Wow. I heard Buel Dean passed away ... within the last year or ...? I'm very sorry. My father keeps in touch with Martha. Do you ever speak with her? I have not kept in touch with her. Shame on me...! In any event, I shall write MUCH more soon.
