My mother was Lillian Skerrett born in Puerto Rico. She traced the Skerrett family back to 1202 an Anthony Skerrett who married Margaret something. This marriage is written and filed in the archives of the Washington D.C. libarary. I saw it myself about 15 years ago. I have some papers left from my mother tracing the Skerrett to County Galway in Ireland, one of the original 13 or 15 tribes of Galway. Skerrett is the anglosized name, originally it was Huscared.
