Rebecca, my wife Jacquie's grandmother was Evaline Skerrett, daughter of Hannah West and George Skerrett. Hannah was daughter of Harry West and Dorcas Honor and George son of Charles Skerrett and Jane Honor. Mix of UK origins and Ngai Tahu - mostly in Otago. We have recorded a few other family names too. McLean's "Maori Songs" (1996) says of Eva "Princess Iwa went to England with a concert party led by Maggie Papakura" for the 1911 Festival of Empire.
