I've just started researching the SLATE family name. They originated in the TN/NC states. I have limited information on my great grandfather, ZACHARIAH SLATE, and my great-great grandfather, SANDERS SLATE.I would be greatful to any additional information that some of you may have.thanks,Randall SLATE
