I am trying to make contact with anyone that has information or a connection to the Able Cain Slayton lineage. His children were all born in Virginia and Tennessee, but most of them settled in Arkansas and Oklahoma. The Slayton's were among the first to settle in Randolph county, AR. Most of the orginal family settled in the area of the Black river, including old Davidsonville & Pocahontas. I descend from Able's last child, George Washington Slayton. A few families that also lived in the area and have many connections are the Hufstedler, Lemmons, and Pyland families. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
